Introduction
UCP 600 Article 17 (Original Documents and Copies) is lettered 17(a), 17(b), 17(c), 17(d), 17(e). Banks compile a presentation against those limbs on the face of the documents. First limb: At least one original of each document stipulated in the credit must be presented.

Operations compile against later limbs and never test 17(a). The first limb is not optional. A presentation that violates it is a binary reject.
